Os recursos são referentes ao programa estadual Pró-Santas Casas, que oferece auxílio mensal fixo para compensar o déficit que essas instituições têm com a tabela de procedimentos do SUS (Sistema Único de Saúde), definida pelo Ministério da Saúde. O anúncio foi feito na manhã desta segunda-feira, 14 de março, pelo governador Geraldo Alckmin e o secretário de Estado da Saúde, Giovanni Guido Cerri, durante evento na Santa Casa de Misericórdia de São Paulo. A Santa Casa de Sorocaba esteve presenta na reunião, apoiando a causa das Santas Casas do Brasil. A Santa Casa de Sorocaba recebeu R$ 56.000,00 para a UTI Neo-Natal.
